  • Dubai to welcome 12 of the world’s best photographers for annual event in March

With just a few weeks to go, the countdown is on for the annual Gulf Photo Plus (GPP) event to be held 1st to 6th March.   Now in its sixth year Gulf Photo Plus which will be held at Dubai Knowledge Village, is the region’s only hands-on photography event where participants can learn from the best in the business.

Gulf Photo Plus 2010 offers more than 50 different workshops and seminars aimed at everyone from the beginner who has just bought a camera to experts already making an income from photography.  The schedule of classes available can be viewed at www.gulfphotoplus.com  (just click on BOOK NOW)

According to organiser, Mr Mohamed Somji, many classes have already sold out.

“At the end of January and based on ticket sales, there has been overwhelming demand for portraiture workshops, lighting classes for beginners and advanced photographers, as well as fashion and photoshop.” he said.

“We have assembled a team of 12 of the world’s most talented photographers who are not only gifted in their profession but also skilled at passing on their knowledge.  The concept of the event is to promote photography as an art and provide a platform for people in the Middle East to learn new skills,” he added.

‘PhotoFriday’ grows in popularity year on year.  The event which will be held on 5th March features a choice of 16 different lecture topics (across 4 sessions), mini-workshops, product demonstrations, huge discounts and exclusive promotions.  It is a not to be missed event for complete novices and professionals alike.  Tickets are just AED 50 per session or AED 150 for a day pass.

Gulf Photo Plus aims to promote and nurture photography in the Middle East through training programmes, workshops, online support and the annual Gulf Photo Plus event.  For more information about the course content, dates and bookings visit www.gulfphotoplus.com or telephone +971 4 360 2365.
