Edimax Technology the leading manufacturer of networking products along with their regional partner GCT introduces DDNS-Free outdoor IP camera, IC-9000 for its market. This user friendly IP camera can be accessed over the internet through the utility, without having to setup the complicated DDNS or port forwarding in the router. It is a simple plug & play network camera and the user need only to enter the login ID and password in the utility in order to view the camera.
 
“IC-9000 has a low light sensitive sensor, infrared LEDs and the IP66 rated water proof housing, enabled it to be used for any security and surveillance purposes, even in the dim lighting environment and non suitable weather conditions.” claimed Mr. Jihad Youssef, General Manager, GCT.  It allows the user to adjust the illumination distance up to 30 meters. In addition to that the user can also adjust the number of the infrared LEDs, according to the view sight distance, in the night mode to achieve the best performance.
 
In order optimize and enhance the video quality, it features with ICR (IR cutter remover) which is controlled automatically to filter out the IR (infrared) light during the day time as well as allow the IR light to pass through during the night time. Furthermore it supports the MPEG4 video codec and if the user would like to record the video, the IC-9000 can be easily integrated to the Network Attached Storage (NAS) which enables to turn the NAS to become a Network Video Recorder (NVR). This camera also supports the 3GPP and it comes with a video management utility which allow the user to see the camera in most of the *3G mobile phones anytime and anywhere.
