Window to Infinity Arjaan by Rotana - Dubai
|
Chucrallah Fattouh, the Lebanese post cubist painter launched his second exhibition in UAE “Window to Infinity” in the opening ceremony which was held in “Skylight”, the stunning venue at Arjaan by Rotana – Dubai. “Window to Infinity” will be held till 15th February 2010, highlighting 20 of Fattouh’s 2009 Acrylic on Canvas paintings ranging between the size of 100cmx100cm and 240cmx170cm.
Fattouh attempts to paint what he feels and communicates this in colour; lights, shades and grades of colour created a multifaceted impression of his reflections.
The exhibition “Window to Infinity” is a wonderful event to start the New Year as it includes a collection of ‘must see’ paintings that catch the sightseer’s attention and free him of any obstacles to create love and brave to face the world in a different way”, commented Kinan Al Ghraoui, General Manager of Arjaan by Rotana.
Fattouh, who draws his inspiration from the Mediterranean blue which washes the foothills of his hometown near Byblos, found Arjaan by Rotana a painting in itself, ‘a place impregnated from the past that finds a doorway to the modern times, a place with stunning views that allow relaxation and peace’.
Fattouh, who started to paint at an early age, has changed his stylistic approach several time which has now culminated in a long standing interest in abstracting nature and people, reducing them into blocks of bold vibrant colours. Since 1985, Fattouh has taken part in a large number of individual and collective exhibits in major European and Arab cities, including London where he was honoured with a medal by Queen Elisabeth. Moreover, one of his paintings is among the valuable Rockefeller art collection. Fattouh regularly presents his work in Sursok’s Museum in Beirut, of which he is a member. He is also part of the Syndicate of Lebanese Painters and Sculptors.
‘Window to Infinity’ has been brought to Dubai by Sandra Ghosn, who works as an exclusive agent for the painter. Customed made paintings can also be made on request.
Arjaan Dubai Media City that aims to create a superior experience for its guests has been designed with beautiful arcs, domes and cupolas and is laid out in a stunning geometric pattern that engages fantasy and play. Located in the heart of Dubai Media City on Sufouh road, the 30 story Arjaan by Rotana - Dubai has magnificent views of the sea, the Palm and Burj Al Arab.
