Shopping Dance show wows audiences in Deira City Centre

The Shopping Dance show is a one-of-a-kind performance that is being presented to the shoppers during the ongoing celebrations of the 15^th edition of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) 2010. The show was crafted exclusively for this year’s DSF and the group of dancers recently performed at the Deira City Centre, a member of Majid Al Futtaim Properties that is a key sponsor of DSF 2010.     
 
The story behind the Shopping Dance show revolves around one main theme - shopping. However, the show is made up of various acts that begin with the dancers acting as shoppers who have just stepped into a mall. This is followed by a mannequin dance where performers mimic the beautiful mannequins by the shop windows. Then, performers showcase a scene of shoe shopping and modern dances using shopping bags. A mini-fashion show features before the hanger dance that narrates the story of two employees having fun with hangers. The finale of the Shopping Dance Show uses colorful ribbons signifying the wrapping of gifts.  
 
The eight trained dancers are from Canada, Europe and USA, and are members of the Bellavia Dance Group. Their graceful movements and stunning performances give life to the story, and their personalities add vigour to the whole show. Shoppers can catch the show at Lamcy Plaza on Feb 14 and 15 with three shows between 6:40pm and 10pm, and at Arabian Centre on Feb 16 at 5:30, 7, and 8:30pm.
